There can be many causes of blood in your stool, and most of them are serious. It ranges from ulcers to carcinomas. I recommend that if you are experiencing bloody stool, see a doctor immediately.

∙ 12y agoEat less hard things. (ex. Corn Flakes) These things will make your poop bloody. Suggestions: Fruits and veggies. P.S. Nothing is going terribly wrong, relax.

∙ 12y agoBlood in your stool can be caused by bleeding hemarrhoids, bleeding polyps, ulcerative colitis, an ulceration of the intestinal wall, an ulceration in the stomach, and/or esophogeal varicies. if it is frank blood (fresh red blood) on the stool it is from the lower intestine, rectum, and/or anal opening. if a test was done called a guiac and that was positive for blood then that comes from the small intestine, stomach, and/or esophogus. there could be a false positive on the guiac if you have had iron supplements or eaten somthing with a high amount of iron within 1-2 days prior to the test, as this is what the guiac test looks for. This is something that needs to be taken care of by your doctor.
