Fuel tank empty or air block in fuel pipe
The fuel pump relay is on the driver's side strut tower behind a cover. The MAF relay is also there. Looking over the radiator the fuel pump relay is on YOUR left.
over top of fuse panel you will see or feel the relays.the top row second relay is your fuel pump relay
The relay is bad. When you start it the relay is bypassed when the oil preasure gets over 4 pounds. Replace the relay will probably be a fuel pump going out. fuel pressure is critcal in a CFI unit. it must have at least 58 psi to start...56 psi= no start
over there
The fuel relay on a sunbird in under the hood on the left side just by the water over flow tank.
The fuel pump relay is located directly over the fuel pump inside the car under the back seat on passenger side off the vehicle.
Could be fuel pump or fuel pump relay.
there is no real way to test a fuel pump you just haft to listen to it. When you turn your key over you should hear it kick in. Listen for it to click and relay from the switch to the pump. Other than that you have no way to test it.
Bad battery??
Could be the relay. Start there first- cheaper. Then Id check the fuel pump
There are testing procedures for relays and ohm readings but it differs for all makes. The easiest way is to swap out an identical relay on the vehicle and check to see if the pump comes on. I know that on Ford Rangers there are 3 that are the same ECC, fuel pump, and AC. Since I knew that the ac worked I moved the relay over to the fuel pump and got no response still, so I moved it over to the ECC and both it and the fuel pump worked so that told me that the ecc relay was bad and it in turn triggered the fuel pump relay to activate in series.
Blown fuel pump fuse, bad fuel pump relay, or the fuel pump itself has failed.
