High levels of Basophils generally correspond to an active allergic response. Normal levels generally vary from zero to 2% of the existing white blood cells. Their elevation does more to establish that a higher WBC is due to a natural, proper physiological response rather than a disease process. I wouldn't worry (which is, I assume what your physician also told you) but if you would like to do something about it, you can start by examining what you are consuming or exposing yourself to that may be causing the allergic response (which is probably also not anything to worry too greatly about.)

Treatment will depend on what type of condition is causing the high basophil levels in your blood. There are many things that can cause this including Crohn's Disease, eczema, and Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
