umm...pleasure is both psychological and physiological in nature. usually a combination of both; physical stimuli that is painful to some causes others to feel pleasure. personally I can not specifically relate to this, however the stigma or idea of harming yourself and deriving a rewarding or gratifying reaction from it has a unique stigma. society generally fears what they do not understand, and its completely different than most other unacceptable behaviors that have to do with a form of violence.
