Pus coming out of the ears could be a sign that the eardrum has ruptured due to extreme pressure from an infection, usually from an infection called otitis media, or inflammation/infection of the middle ear. Continued infection could permanently damage hearing due to tissue destruction and/or scarring. The best thing to do is to have a health professional evaluate and see if antibiotics or ear drops, or both, are needed to help it heal properly.
Other infections of the ear canal can create drainage, and need to be treated before they spread. The ear is an easy place to get an infection called cellulitis, so it shouldn't be ignored, either.
If you have pus coming out of your ear, you probably have an ear infection.
There should be no pus coming from your ears. If it is in fact pus (and not just the fluid that normally comes out and coagulates into the crusties you wake up with) you need to go see a professional piercer about it immediately.
Pus does not normally come out of an Achilles tendon. If you have pus near your ankle, see your health care provider.
You have to take the cat to the vet. Chances are it has an ear infection, which will require medication. Do not go sticking things into the cat's ear, trying to remove the pus. Make an appointment with your vet as soon as possible, and let them take care of it.
otopyorrhea = purulent otorrhea = discharge of pus from the external ear
Sounds like shingles. See your health care provider for evaluation and treatment.
If the middle ear, which is normally sterile, becomes contaminated with bacteria or viruses, pus and pressure in the middle ear can result, and this is called acute otitis media or suppurative otitis media.
Depends on whether that fluid has pus in it.
