The sun emits harmful ultraviolet radiation especially during its peak which is between 10AM to 4PM. Being exposed to it frequently and for long periods damage your skin cells and worse, kill them, leading to chronic skin conditions such as sunburn. These skin conditions give rise to skin tumors to develop.
Most damage is caused by ultraviolet light (UV)
it comes down to the fact that UV light has a relatively high energy (due to shorter wavelength than visible light).
when a photon from UV light hits cells in your body it causes damage, either by "breaking" DNA molecules or doing damage to other molecules that in turn cause damage to the DNA molecules.
This damage to the DNA results in it not functioning properly, which may lead to cancer. The same sun rays that tan you (UV rays) cause the genes in your skin cells to mutate. The mutated cells are called cancer cells.
ultra-violet rays cause skin cancer
Most times, it is caused by excessive sun exposure.
Sun exposure causes skin cancer because the ultraviolet radiation damages the genetic code in some skin cells that are exposed to strong sunshine, this may lead to skin cancer.
Not enough sunlight can cause cancer,
IF THIS HELPS ADD 2 MY POPULARITY :)
if you stay out in the sun for extensive amounts of time if you just spend the summer at the beach its fine
It can cause skin cancer.
no unproted sun does give cancer
It can cause sun burn and skin cancer
the sun can cause skin damage and skin cancer, and you can die from that.
Through sunbathing, you can develop skin cancer from not wearing sun cream, wrinkles, dark spots on the skin and lots of freckles
skin cancer is damages you skin
It can cause skin melanoma (cancer) and sun spots.
UVA and UVB rays cause the sun to burn your skin. When the skin is exposed to the sun for a period of time and without any sunscreen on, the ultraviolet light penetrates the skin, burning it.
it can cause cancer and early aging also can cause skin to feel leathery and to wrinkle. If you stand long enough under the sun you will have sunburn on your skin. But if you stand for even more longer you may get skin cancer which was caused by the Ultraviolet from the Sun.
excessive sun tanning
what blocks some of the dangerous rays that may cause skin cancer
No- but being out in the sun with unprotected skin can. Get out the sunblock.
