What is the difference between the greenhouse effect on Venus and the greenhouse effect on Earth?

On Earth, greenhouse gases, carbon dioxide, methane and others act in much the same way, though not as intensely as on Venus.

Water Vapor has been responsible for causing the green house effect on Venus. Just like carbon dioxide caused temperatures to rise on earth, water vapor did on Venus. It caused the surface of the planet to get so hot that the carbon accumulated in the rocks sublimated and mixed with oxygen to form more carbon dioxide.

On earth the greenhouse effect warms earth enough to allow organisms to live on the planet.But the greenhouse effect on Venus makes the average surface temperature 464 Celsius.
