C-5
Arm pain is the most common symptom of a cervical herniated disc along with numbness and tingling along the arm to the fingertips. It is most common in the 30 - 50 year old age group and can start quite spontaneously after a trauma or injury to the cervical spine.

A bulging disc between the cervical vertebrae C4 and C5 can compress nearby nerves, particularly the cervical nerve roots, leading to severe arm pain. This occurs because the bulging disc can irritate or pinch these nerves, causing pain to radiate along the pathway of the affected nerve. Additionally, inflammation and swelling associated with the disc bulge can exacerbate the pain. This condition can also lead to symptoms like weakness or numbness in the arm, further impacting mobility and function.
In the cervical area the disc degenerative process usually starts with a traumatic twisting of the disc space that leads to chronic inflammatory pain in the neck, and may result in arm pain and numbness.
it could be a pinched nerve in your cervical spine(neck}. Due to a bulging or herniated disc.
The sciatic nerve typically runs from the lower back down through the leg, so it wouldn't directly cause pain in the neck or arm. However, issues in the lower back where the sciatic nerve originates can sometimes radiate pain down the leg, but not usually to the neck or arm. Pain in the neck and arm may be due to separate issues such as a cervical spine problem or shoulder injury.
It does on me in my situation. I have a C6-7 and C3-4 disk bulges pressing nerves and I have blurred vision(Slight), headaches, left under arm pain and entire right arm, specifically the forearm. Hope this helps. Everyone responds a LITTLE differently, but generally the symptoms are the same. I have only just described parts of my experience.
this is most commonly caused by pressure on the ulnar nerve. do you usually put your elbows on the desk while you type? or rest your chin or head on your left hand, with the elbow on the table? other possible causes are damage to the ulnar nerve: any pain in your elbow or forearm? or pain at all on your left wrist or palm? other less common causes are vitamin b-12 deficiency, which can be tested for, a kink or misalignment in your neck, or possibly a repetitive-stress injury.
The two most likely causes are either a heart attack or a degenerate intervertebral disc.
Dont worry, they are in your arm, upper shoulder.
The left arm.
