I'm not sure when it started (cuz I read this a while ago and I'm starting to forget) but ALL the curses were broken by volume 22.
Kureno's curse was broken long before all the others. And Momiji's curse was the first to break for some reason in a different volume. (something around vol.19 i think)
And at the end, Akito frees them all (as in, not making them stay at the Sohma house) and then a happy ending:)
The Sohma curse is broken in the final chapter of the manga series "Fruits Basket," which is Chapter 136. This is where Tohru's love and compassion ultimately help the Sohma family members break free from the curse that has bound them for generations.

Some of the main characters in "Fruits Basket" include Tohru Honda, Yuki Sohma, Kyo Sohma, Shigure Sohma, and Akito Sohma. There are many other characters in the series, each with their own unique personalities and stories intertwined with the Sohma family curse.
Kureno Sohma's curse broke when the curse was lifted from the rest of the Sohma family members after Tohru Honda formed deep connections with them, specifically after the true form of the zodiac members was revealed.
Akito didn't put a curse on the Sohma family. It was the original God who bonded the animals together in what is now called the "Sohma family curse."
