I'm currently a Junior in High School, and looking into majoring in Social Work.
Junior Year:
English
Spanish IV
Chemistry
Algebra II/Trigonometry
AP American History
Plus two music classes
I have A's in all my classes except for Chemistry I have a B+
Next Year what should I take?
I definitely want to take:
AP Literature & Comp
College Level Spanish
Economics // Government
Two music classes
I'm interested in taking AP Psychology because I know its along the same lines as Social Work. I think I definitely want to drop science, I hate it! I haven't gotten below a 98 on a Algebra II/Trig test this year and I like math, but I don't need it for Social Work. Is it bad to drop math/science senior year? I would replace science with AP psych and math with two electives such as Sociology/Public Speaking.
I just don't know what to do. Also, I dont want senior year to be too stressful.
what do you think?
Senior Year is the most common year to take the ACT test
you have to take ap classes your best bet is to take all ap classes in junior year
You should take pre-AP physics junior year, and AP bio senior year.
Yes. Get your difficult classes completed early so that you can take more electives in your Senior year.
Well so at my high school, we have 9 periods a day (1 of which must be lunch). In those 8 other periods you must complete at least 24 credits (32 possible). Most students here take 7 classes a day for their first 3 years (21 credits) and then senior year only need 3 additional credits to graduate. They normal take English, Math, PE (as in Illinois PE is required) and then take lunch (required). If they have good academic standing then they are allowed to leave campus for the remaining 5 opens (seniors can leave the school during lunch). So at our school that is how you can get away with 3 classes (4 periods) a day in your senior year of high school. So basically if you look into your schools graduation requirements then you can take those classes earlier in high school so you can relax senior year or go as far as taking off second semester of senior year. If you plan to have a light load your senior year you should plan it out early. I'd talk to your counselor when you go to schedule classes to make sure you meet graduation requirements.
It depends which school system you are in. Usually they are foundational classes that are required for graduation such as math, science, gym, etc.
You are not likely to get it up to a 3.0. You would have to get a 4.0 in all your classes to get it to 2.5 by the end of senior year.
Discuss with your tutor(s). They will know whether you will able to do it or not. Also, you will may to consider what courses you will need for whatever you wish to do after your senior year.
You can take AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP Physics, AP Calculus or similar courses, but this will only count towards your undergraduate college classes. In the United States, you have to complete at least three years' worth of undergraduate college classes and then take another four years of classes in vet school.
Yes, you can take classes year round. I would look into a local school near you for classes.
