Best Answer

If white light is a mixture of several wavelengths of colors and the chlorophyll in green leaves absorb energies from all visible light except green, then exposing white light to a green plants will result in the fastest rate of photosynthesis, followed by blue or red.

I would say that green plant have the fastest photosynthesis because the chlorophyll in the plant is what gives a plant its green color and chlorophyll molecules are what captures the light energy that makes it possible for photosynthesis to occur

The above answer i would say is incorrect, as the green is reflected by the cholorphyl.

It can be safely stated that red is the best colour.

Green colour is the fastest rate of photosynthesis coz Green plants can grow well.

Red colour may be the slowest coz the tree start to dry if the leaves become brown and it will die soon

^-- no its not- blue the color has the fastest photosynthesis rate. Green is the slowest. It has NOTHING to do with the plant color. It has to do with the visable light spectrum and the colors we see. I did this experiment, i would know.

blue has the fastest rate.

then comes red.

and last comes green.

How do different pigments colors affect the rate of photosynthesis?

The wavelength of a color is directly related to the rate of photosynthesis, with longer wavelengths leading to higher rates of photosynthesis.

Does the amount of light affect the chlorphyll concentration in a plant?

no. This is because light only affect the rate of photosynthesis and not the chlorophyll concentration in the leaf

What are some factors that affect photosynthesis?

The factor that will effect photosynthesis the most is light. Plants need light in order for photosynthesis to take place. Water, air, pH, and temperature will also effect photosynthesis.

How does light intensity affect the rate of photosynthesis?

Higher light intensity increases the rate of photosynthesis and vice versa.more intense light means more energy in the light, so the chloroplasts get more energy from light, making photosynthesis go faster

What factors can affect the rate of photosynthesis in a plant?

There are several factors.Temperature,CO2 concentration,H2O amound,light etc

What are the factors photosynthesis?

The intensity of light, concentration of carbon dioxide and temperature are the three main factors that affect photosynthesis. They determine the rate at which photosynthesis occurs.

How does temperature affect the rate of photoysistes?

The higher the temperature, the higher the rate of photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is affected by more than one factor. The other factors are light and carbon dioxide.

What are three factors that affect the rate of photosysthesis?

Amount of CO2 available, light intensity and temperature, all effect the rate of photosynthesis.
