Well like with any flame, the lighter the flame, the higher the temperature of the flame. If the flam is burning Yellow, it is at a higher temperature and is burning more oxygen than an orange flame is. That is your difference other than the color.
The flame of a Bunsen burner that is yellow in color will leave a black carbon residue due to the incorrect mixture of oxygen into the flame. Because there is not enough oxygen for complete combustion, the carbon reside is left behind. When the Bunsen flame has a sufficient amount of oxygen mixed in, hence the 'roaring flame', it has a blue color and does not leave a carbon residue due to complete combustion of the acetylene gas.

To burn the candle flame needs a steady supply of oxygen from the air. Dry Ice is solid Carbon Dioxide and as you pour the dry ice gas over the flame you displace the air from around the flame and replace it with Carbon Dioxide. Starved of Oxygen the flame goes out.
A blue flame is louder than a yellow flame because there is more oxygen (air) flow present than with a yellow flame. The yellow flame indicates a lack of oxygen and incomplete combustion of the methane gas.

If the gas will sustain a flame of a match, oxygen is present.

Oxygen gas has no color. Liquid oxygen has a very slight blue color.

Fire is a complex thing. It needs 3 things in order to keep burning. Fuel, oxygen, and heat. When you pour the gas over it, there is no oxygen, therefore, flame extinguished.
