Certain combinations (in America, anyway) like orange & black tend to conjure up spooky thoughts as they're associated with Halloween. Black because it's dark & mysterious, perhaps representing the unknown & unseen which is a common fear. Orange, I suppose represents the season as the leaves change color & fall off leaving behind skeletons where lush "alive looking" trees once stood. That and pumpkins...
Also red is a good one since it's the color of blood; another play to a common fear. In China, the color white might be "scary" as it represents death there. A fear of the unknown seems to be the common link - death being the most frightening of the unknowns.
Have a happy Halloween.
Rainbow colors are often associated with diversity, inclusivity, and unity due to the array of colors blending harmoniously together. They are also seen as a symbol of hope, peace, and potential for positive change. In some cultures, each color of the rainbow may carry specific meanings or symbolism.
