There are two main concerns when using oxygen on new born babies. One is oxygen toxicity, the other is meeting the babies oxygen requirements.

On one hand, oxygen can actually be toxic, especially to pre-term babies from 32 weeks gestation and lower. High FiO2's(fraction of inspired oxygen) may even cause blindness (ROP), and Intracerebral bleeds (ICH). Secondly, the baby must have sufficient O2 to meets its bodies demands.

I told you this so you know there is a difference in term newborn, and pre-term, oxygenation requirements. So, the simple answer to a complicated scenario is, apply the minimum FiO2 that will address the babies requirements. This is called oxygen titration.

For resuscitation use 100 % - the kids hypoxic or you wouldn't be doing a resuscitation.

When should cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) be used?

CPR is used by First Aiders when someone has a heart attack and has no pulse, or when it is suspected that this is the case.

Which is used for oxygen transportation in living organisms?

Im guessing you were asking whether diffusion, osmosis or active transport is used for oxygen transportation in organisms. Diffusion is the random movement of particles from an area with a high concentration to an area with a lower concentration. So in humans for eample, gas exchange occurs in the lungs where there is a lower concentration of oxygen in the blood and a high conc of oxygen in the lungs. The oxygen then diffuses into the blood.

Molecues of suger water oxygen and carbon dioxide do not require what to move from area of high to low concentration?

No energy is required to move molecules of oxygen, carbon dioxide, sugar, or water from areas of high to low concentration across a membrane. Instead, diffusion is used.

If humans exhale carbon dioxide and mouth to mouth resuscitation is used to force oxygen into a person isn't the rescuer forcing carbon dioxide not oxygen into the lungs of the person not breathing?

Only a proportion of the air exhaled is carbon dioxide there is plenty of Oxygen there to do what is required under normal circumstances. People don't use all of the oxygen they breath in, a % of it is blown right back out of the body again.

How much oxygen should be used in an incubator?

Why is it important for the planet that the process of respiration and photosynthesis stay in balance?

During respiration Oxygen is used & CO2 is released.& during photosynthesis CO2 is used & oxygen is released. Therefore when these 2 processes are balanced the O2 & CO2 concentration of the planet will be balanced too.

What is a negative feed back mechanism for the correction of low blood oxygen concentration?

Oxygen is very vital for your survival. So you tend to think that low oxygen is a powerful stimulator for the respiration. But then, this is not correct. Oxygen is very sparingly soluble in the water or plasma. So oxygen is not used to regulate the respiration. Instead, the carbon bi oxide is highly soluble in water or plasma and the same forms the acid after dissolution. So the concentration of the carbon bi oxide can be easily measured by the respiration centre cells of your brain. That is why the concentration of carbon bi oxide is the stimulating or suppressing factor in case of the respiration. Increase in carbon bi oxide concentration stimulates the respiration and vise verse.

What type of transport is used to move a molecule from a region of low concentration yo a region of high concentration?

It depends what type of molecule it is; if it is a water molecule then it moves by Osmosis if it is a gas molecule for example Oxygen then it will move by diffusion.
