I have a circular bruise on my right upper arm on the inside. It has what appears to be a pin prick or scratch in the middle, with purple bruising which is rapidly turning yellow. Can you tell me what could have caused this in such an innocuous place?

At the bare minimum get basic blood work done- esp. check iron levels. Your doctor may refer you to an Oncologist for further testing if necessary.
In the viper bite clotting occurs rapidly. The clots can cause strokes and emboli in the lungs and legs. The others cause more rapid bleeding with bruising from a small bump to the skin and many nose bleeds. They lack an anticoagulation factor.
I am not a doctor, but to me this sounds like it could be poor circulation in the legs. If swelling is also a symptom then it could be heart related. So many diseases and conditions can lead to poor circulation. A doctor should really be seen since this symptom can be a sign of something very serious. Best of luck.

There are many ways that a person could have small legs. If you are referring to having short legs, this is a genetic condition. If referring to thin legs, it is a result of diet and staying trim, without building too much muscle.
