Oh, dude, countries under anarchy are like a chaotic free-for-all. It's basically a situation where there's no centralized government in charge, so it's every person for themselves. Think of it as a giant game of "Survivor" with no Jeff Probst to keep things in check.

Anarchy, by definition, is the absence of effective government (where 'effective' is meant to mean the ability to maintain order and have laws followed). So, no country will ever be "under" anarchy. Usually, the phrase is "in anarchy".

As humans have found some form of government infinitely preferable to no government, periods of anarchy generally have been limited in duration, particularly in modern times, where intervention from outside forces is often quick to prevent the problem from spreading. However, countries undergoing intense revolutions or civil wars often are considered in anarchy, as the fighting destroys legal authority.

Presently, the closest I can list as a country in anarchy is Somalia and possibly Yemen. However, places such as East Timor, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sierra Leone, and Angola have recently undergone significant periods which can be credibly labeled as anarchy.

No countries 'have an anarchy' at the moment. During the Spanish Civil War, there were small regions that did practice anarchy for a small while.

There is a school of thought that Somalia practices anarcho-capitalism, but the predominant perspective is that Somalia is a failed state, not an intentional anarchy.

No Countries practice it as a country but there are many underground anarchy groups inside every country in the world trying to bring down the walls of the government. Communist countries have them shot upon capture. In the western world they are called Terrorists. The popular terrorist groups in the Middle East are religious fanatics not anarchists.

There are no current anarchist states although there anarchical regions within many countries. There are notable anarchist regions in Mexico, Greece, and the Israeli kibbutz and then there many small anarchist communities across the world. A past example of an anarchist state is Anarchist Catalonia. ANARCHY IS NOT CHAOS AND LAWLESSNESS. Anarchy is a political philosophy which fundamentally rejects hierarchy.

The misconception that Somalia's fractured system has anything to do with anarchism is popular, however Somalia no more lives under anarchist principles than the U.S., U.K or anywhere else for that matter. The truth and reality is that the entire globe functions in a state of anarchy. There is no central authority and the individual states are free to associate with one another on terms of their own choosing. If you wanted a better example of the anarcho-primitivist style that the confused Somalia-name-droppers seem to want to refer to, I would check out Western Sahara.

Somalia would be commonly cited as an anarchic country, but it and other countries described as anarchic frequently display traits associated with feudalism.

In terms of the definition, a state in anarchy is a state in which there is no recognized government ruling over the people and people self-organize and defend. There is currently NO region of the world in anarchy. The closest the world has to anarchy is the current situations in Somalia, Bir Tawil, and Antarctica.

Somalia comes close because the national government cannot extend its power to the entire territory, which has innumerable local warlords. However, the presence of these warlords serves to be a form of recognized government, which is why Somalia is more properly classified as a failed state (a state where the national government cannot compete with local warlords to the extent that the local warlords control more than the national government).

Bir Tawil comes close because both Egypt and Sudan reject the territory as not belonging to either of them and the territory is the only land on the six inhabited continents to have terra nullius status. However, as Bir Tawil has no settled population, it fails the requirement of having people in the territory to be an anarchy.

Antarctica has no permanent population and has its government arrangements taken care of by international treaties, so while there is no government over the people who are currently living in Antarctica, they are responsible to the signatory countries of the Antarctica countries. This means that there is a recognized authority.
