Julius Caesar and Caesar Augustus were two different people.

Julius Caesar was a general in the Roman Army who won a series of victories for Rome before being proclaimed dictator in perpetuity by the Senate. Members of the senate later murdered him because they (rightly or wrongly) believed he wanted to be King or Emperor. After his death his grandnephew Gaius Octavian (later known as Caesar Augustus) fought a civil war and became Rome's first Emperor. He died at the age of 75.
