You have to take courses in English, Math, and Science. You need 4 years of Undergraduate Premedical, Post Secondary Education, and a Bachelors Degree. To be a pathology all you need to do is to be sick (or dead).

To be a pathologist, first you need to be a medical doctor.

A pathologist has to complete 4 years of college, 4 years of medical school, and a minimum of 3-4 years of residency. A pathologist must have earned a medical degree, either the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree or the Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree.

Study of medicine at university.

You will need roughly 7-8 GCSE's at A*-B level.

You will also need at least AAB at A level in Biology, physics, chemistry or maths. The more you have the better chance you will have to becoming a pathologist.

There are several different types of pathologist and you don't say what type you want to know about. A speech pathologist requires 4 years of college, a medical requires a medical degree which is 12+ years of college. So, as you can see there is a difference.
