You need the same degree in every state in the US. It's a JD (Juris Doctorate). First, you need a BA from an undergraduate school, then you would apply to law school and hopefully get accepted. Then spend the next 3 years of your life being miserable because you know you will owe over $100K after graduation, and probably won't make more than $70K a year. -Current Law Student
