Mark 15:14 doesn't give the precise location; one could compare it to Luke 24:33 and think they were in Jerusalem, but the phrasing of the passage in Mark doesn't demand that the ascension took place immediately after the Great Commission. Luke 24:50 says that He and His disciples went to "the vicinity of Bethany," or near the town. Acts 1:1-12 shows Jesus ascending, and the disciples return from the Mount of Olives, a.k.a. Mount Olivet. Contradiction? Nope. Mark 11:1 has Jesus arriving at "Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives." Thus both passage place the ascension near Bethany, or at the Mount of Olives, which is near Bethany.

Probably the Mount of Olives since that was the place Jesus seemed to love the most when He was here. 12 Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey. 13 And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James. 14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren Acts 1:12-14 (KJV)

Originally, only Luke's Gospel and Acts of the Apostles, believed to be by the same author, wrote of Jesus ascending into heaven. In Luke 24:50:51, this momentous event took place near Bethany on the evening of the day of his resurrection. In Acts 1:9, Jesus ascended to heaven after 40 days, in Jerusalem.

Mark's Gospel originally ended at verse 16:8 with the young man telling the women he is risen (Mark 16:6) and they fled in terror, telling no one. There is an implied ascension here, in which case Jesus could be said to have ascended from the place of his burial. The 'Long Ending' (verses 16:9-20) was added much later to provide post-resurrection details more or less similar to Luke's Gospel. This addition does not specify where the ascension took place (Mark 16:19), so that someone unfamiliar with Luke would assume the event took place in Jerusalem, while someone familiar with Luke would assume the event took place near Bethany.

Matthew (17:1-9 ) Mark (9:2-8) and Luke (9:28-36) all tell us that Jesus took Peter, James and John up a mountain when the transfiguration occurred. The name of the mountain is not mentioned.

Shouldn't the name Jesus Christ be Jesus the Christ?

That is a wonderful question, but the Bible does not use much punctuation, so in reality, speaking of the grammar, it is suppose to be written Jesus, Christ. not Jesus Christ. As many references in the KJV of the Bible, is Christ Jesus, written correctly Christ, Jesus, or Jesus, Christ. It is referring to Christ.

Who is the founder of the church of Christ?

Are you asking about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or the Church of Jesus Christ? The Church of Jesus Christ is another name for Christianity, and was obviously founded by Jesus Christ. There may of course be individual Christian churches with the name "The Church of Jesus Christ", which were probably started by the pastors or parishoners. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a Christian denomination, it is founded on the teachings of Jesus Christ but was started by Joseph Smith.
