What did Jesus enjoy doing?

I think that Christ enjoyed life but not as we do, not what we call fun. He attended a wedding and would have enjoyed to company of good friends. He always had at the foremost of His mind His purpose for being on earth, which was to do the will of His father in heaven.

He knew who He was and so would have only partaken in righteous pursuits of happiness. His purpose was to bring about the immortality and eternal life of man. For Him to be successful in this would have brought Him greater joy than any earthly joys could.

The only record we have in the New Testament of kids playing that I can remember, is in the words of Jesus himself:

Luke 7.32. They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept.

From what I have read in the New Testament, Jesus Christ was a compassionate and loving individual. Most of His recorded deeds are deeds of charity and blessing, and it would appear that He enjoyed serving others and going out of his way to make someone else's life better. He liked and loved to do the Will of his Father, who was God. the will of his Father was that Jesus should preach, admonish, rebuke and heal in God's holy name, and then ultimately die for the sins of all mankind. Jesus liked doing this because he took pleasure in serving His Father (and all christians should take pleasure in serving their heavenly father). And Jesus knew that God found pleaure when he served him with a full heart. And not only did jesus "like" doing this, he saw what he did as a desperate need that all people needed. Jesus came down "to seek and to save what was lost" (Luke 19:10). To Jesus, every soul on earth is extremely precious to him. Not only did Jesus like to do God's will, he loved to do it! Jesus hates it whenever someone rejects him and goes to hell. That is why he saw his duty as a dire need, and not just a chore. Now that Jesus has died and ressurected himself for us, there is hope and heaven for all who accept that he saved them from hell and their sin. So if you're asking what jesus liked to do, he liked (and loved) to save you and I from hell.

He had no 'free time' during his ministry, but he was more concerned for his disciples -

Mark 6.31. And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

I think we can assume he was a very happy person. He clearly loved children - even to the point of taking time to take them up and talk with them when he was so tired that his disciples tried to discourage parents from bringing their children to him. He also showed great compassion - which usually correlates with being happy. Undoubtedly he was quite serious much of the time considering the gravity of his responsibility, but he certainly had fun - just not by some of the frivolous and time-wasting - or even vulgar means that some of us engage in in an effort to find "fun".
