Answer:

God's plan of salvation and the restoration of the Kingdom of God to the earth is on a "time schedule":

"...IN DUE TIME Christ died for the ungodly." (Rom.5:6)

"You see, AT JUST THE RIGHT TIME, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly." (Rom 5:6 NIV)

"...blindness in part is happened to Israel, UNTIL the fulness of the Gentiles be come in." (Rom.11:25)

"...when THE FULNESS OF TIME WAS COME, God sent forth His Son... to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons..." (Gal.4:4-5).

"...He made known to us the mystery of His will... to be put into effect WHEN THE TIMES WILL HAVE REACHED THEIR FULFILLMENT..." (Eph.1:9-10).

"...now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed IN HIS TIME." (II Thess.2:6)

"...there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all men - the testimony given IN ITS PROPER TIME." (I Tim.2:5-6)

"To every thing there is a season, and A TIME TO EVERY PURPOSE under the heaven..." (Eccle.3:1).

The age of Jesus when He began preaching the "good news (gospel) of the Kingdom" isn't as significant as what happened at that particular time.

He had just defeated Satan in a time when He was physically at His weakest... and Spiritually at His strongest. The "temptation of Christ." It was a time that went unnoticed by men... but was the spiritual battle of all time, that resulted in the defeat of Satan as the ruler of the earth, and qualified Jesus Christ as its new King.

It wasn't UNTIL a replacement had qualified to depose Satan's seat of authority on the earth... One who was obedient to the laws that the god of this world had perverted in the beginning... that the promise of the Kingdom of God might be declared and preached.

With His successful defeat of Satan in the temptation... it was time for the new King to declare to the world that the promise of God's Kingdom on earth was seeing fulfillment.

The Kingdom of God could never come until it HAD A KING.

The fulfillment of the first phase of God's seven-phase plan - the killing of the Passover Lamb - was a prophecy that was being fulfilled at that time in world history. Mankind's salvation and the establishment of the Kingdom of God on earth was coming to pass... and the world didn't even notice.

"...He was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto Him. Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the Kingdom of God, and saying, THE TIME IS FULFILLED, and the Kingdom of God is at hand: REPENT ye, and BELIEVE the gospel (good news)." (Mark 1:13-15)

No government on earth wants to be desposed by another. And because the Kingdom of God and its King haven't deposed them, yet... they remain unrepentant toward the Creator and His laws... and they don't believe His message, that it is good news for the world. Nor, have the majority of man's governments heard it, yet... which will be the testimony of Two Witnesses, who shall be revealed in their time in the Great Tribulation (Rev.11).

But at whatever age Jesus was when He began to preach salvation and the Kingdom of God... it was because He was earth's new King... and it was time to declare the wonderful news to the world. Good news that men of God still faithfully preach today... and shall continue to do UNTIL it is done in due time:

"...Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the Eternal Life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Jesus Christ, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you to keep this commandment without spot or blame UNTIL the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which God WILL BRING ABOUT IN HIS OWN TIME..." (I Tim.6:12-15 NIV).
