As it was Jesus who under the direction of His Father (God) created this world and populated it. He completed his task on the 6th day, (This time is only figurative) and on the 7th He rested, and the Lord hallowed it and sanctified it He becoming Lord of the sabbath.

∙ 12y agoJesus said to honor the Sabbath as God had instructed us to do but we do not have to be "legalistic" about it. Worrying about whether you are breaking a rule on the Sabbath is not the "point" or rather the "issue" Jesus proclaimed because it is our heart, obedience, love and trust in God that matters, even on the Sabbath.
We are to honor God on the day of the Sabbath rather than do our "chores", "jobs" and to rest, just as God did on the seventh day.
The Sabbath is Friday evening to Saturday Evening. That is the time Jesus practiced the Sabbath. See link below for more information.

∙ 11y agoHe didn't. Jesus' habit was to observe the sabbath as a day of worship in the synagogues (Luke 4:16), but His failure to comply with the minute restrictions brought conflict. At first, Christians also met on the sabbath with the Jews in the synagogues to proclaim Christ (Acts 13:14). Their holy day that belonged especially to the Lord, was the first day of the week, the day of resurrection (Matt. 28:1, Acts 20:7, Rev. 1:10). They viewed the sabbath and other matters of the law as a shadow of the reality that had now been revealed, and the sabbath became a symbol of the heavenly rest to come (Hebrews 4:1-11).
