How did teenagers in the 50's spend their freetime?

Well in the 50s kidsd probaly.....

played Monapaly,soccy ball, sick ball (same as base ball but instead of a bat they used a stick),foot ball,slinky,marbles,and jacks.

In the United States, society was very rigid and conservative throughout much of the 1950s; there was less privacy and a lot less freedom. But kids looked forward to the school day being finished so they could go home and watch their favorite TV shows-- like "American Bandstand," which featured the latest dances as well as hit performers. Kids loved rock and roll, and they loved to go to record hops (which were dances, with hit songs played by a disc jockey, and perhaps an appearance by a local band). Movies were also a fun activity for young people-- in that era before cable TV, and long before the internet, movies were not very expensive and they provided kids with a place they could go with a date or with friends.
