The 19th Amendment was passed by Congress on June 4, 1919 and was ratified on August 18, 1920.

It gave women the right to vote, as well as gave women the same rights as men, and granted the freedom to own property.

The 19th Amendment (1920) said that the right to vote cannot be denied because of gender. This means that women could not be denied a vote. This Amendment also gave Congress the right to protect this Amendment by creating laws.
