It also establishes procedures for replacing the Vice President when he assumes the Presidency. In addition is deals with the situation where the President become medically disabled.

It is the sequence of succession for the president if something happens to him. The recent death of JF Kennedy left some questions in the public's mind. It also described how the Vice-President was to be replaced if he should resign, or have been made president.
