it free'd all the slaves in the south
President Abraham Lincoln was most likely the onley person in the Oval Office when he signed the Emancipation proclomation.
the slaves were not freed from the emancipation proclomation. the emancipation proclomation had no effect because President Lincoln has no authroity over what happens in the confederate staes and the border states. they didn't become free until some time after the civil war ended.
No. The two were very different documents, and served very different purposes. The Emancipation Proclamation was an executive order, written, signed and issued by President Lincoln, and the Gettysburg Address was a speech, written and given by President Lincoln in order to dedicate a national cemetery to the men that died during the Battle of Gettysburg.
President Lincoln SIGNED and ISSUED the Emancipation Proclomation. I don't believe that history is clear on whether or not he actually SPOKE it.
It matters whether you are talking about the proclomation of 1763 or womething else. If so, then the proclomation came first, as the Treaty of Paris was in 1783.
