Traditional foods such as turkey or ham adorn the table much like they do in the USA. Some families have large elaborate feasts while others prefer to gather and go out to eat.
Vegetables are similar such as corn, squash, carrots etc. The foods eaten are very much the same all over North America.
The Canadian Thanksgiving is observed on the second Monday in October and celebrates "The Harvest" of the crops.
The traditional Canadian Thanksgiving Dinner is composed of a Roast Turkey with stuffing or what we call "dressing" if it is cooked outside of the "bird", Mashed Potatoes, Squash in some form, Green Beans, Gravy and Cranberry Sauce (not Jelly!).
The dessert is Pumpkin Pie with Whipped Cream.

On Boxing Day, Canadians trade in boxes of old, broken, or not wanted items to be traded for new ones. In Australia, Boxing Day has become characterised by massive sales by the larger retailers capitalising on people's ever-increasing need to have more "stuff".
Well, usually the family gets together and gives each other presents[boxes :)]. But some people hit the stores and look for sales. And, it being Canada, the NHL has eleven games scheduled for Boxing Day.
