Yes, I assume so. When my dog reached his limit in life, he was creating these strange howls before he fell silent. So I guess they do know when they are about to die, but only if they are dying "naturally" (which means not having some sort of other predator kill them).
i think animals will know they will die at some point but they just dont know when :)

it effects animals such as horses . if you come behind a horse it will probably kick you and might cause you to die . if you are afraid of an animal they know. they know that so they might hurt you
