My best guess would be that the light at a specific time of day, reflects on the wind-screens in such a manner that the sky and possibly a few trees are seen there by the birds. Resulting in them flying into the glass. There are a couple of things you can do to change the situation, park the cars differently, block the light or put something non-reflective over the glass.

More often than not, this sort of thing is less of an omen and more of a natural phenomenon.

This sort of thing can happen when the sun is in such a position as to reflect the sky and surrounding trees in the surface of the windscreen.

To reduce the instances of said, either park the cars at a different angle, block the sun from reflecting on the glass or put something non-reflective over the windscreen.

This sort of happening is less likely to be an omen than it is to be a natural phenomenon.

How do hummingbird survive?

Hummingbirds survive by consuming nectar, sap, and insects. Due to the incredible rate of a Hummingbird's metabolism, it will consume up to three times its body weight daily. It avoids predators by flying- its abilities to hover, fly backwards, and out-manoeuvre other birds serve as advantages against birds of prey, and as it only uses its feet for perching, neither walking nor hopping, it is unlikely to be a good target for ground-based predators.

There is no way I can measure the speed but one parakeet that escaped my outdoor aviary over a month ago has survived and returns to my yard daily yo feed and water. I've set out seed and water near the aviary. When on flight it's speed appears to rival that of the humming birds in my yard.
