Yes a dog can get hiccups. My Bishon Frise use to get them especially when she was a puppy. Eating, swallowing too much air and playing hard. I'd rub her back or tummy and it would eventually go away.
Some turtles absolutely do hibernate. My box turtles will sit dormant from October to march. During this time they will not eat. Sometimes they will drink and i soak them every few weeks in alfalfa laced water so they get some nutrition over the winter.
Well, why do we get hiccups? If you have a cat and he/she is getting hiccups for very long I recommend Hair Ball Remedy if you suspect hairballs. It could be the cat has eaten too much in one go, or drank something to quickly. Or there could be no reason at all. If you wish, you could go to the vet for advise.
It could be that your hamster is just dreaming, the same way that people and cats and dogs twitch when they are dreaming. Young animals also often get the hiccups. This might also account for the twitching. It is rare, but some young animals (more common in gerbils) display epileptic siezures. If you are very concerned about your pet, please make an appointment for him with a veterinarian
my puppy always gets hicups and the vet didnt say anything bad about it so it should be ok

Yes
Hiccups in dogs may appear as sudden, involuntary contractions of the diaphragm, causing a quick, repetitive sound or movement in the chest or abdomen.
it depends what dog u have i guess, i have a Lab, when he gets the hiccups, they're pretty quiet. they don't really sound like barks.
Hiccups are very common in all puppies and are actually quite normal. Puppies get hiccups when they eat and drink as they tend to ingest large quantities of air which then triggers hiccups. Common hiccuping is normal until dogs are about 8 months of age. There is also nothing that you can really do to stop hiccups in a puppy, other than having the puppy rest until the hiccups are gone.
Yes, I have a chihuahua that gets the hiccups. It's too cute. Yes. Dogs can get hiccups just like humans, especially puppies. The hiccups should go away shortly, although if they last all day, you should probably consult a veterinarian. Dog hiccups are usually caused by something they ate or drank, excitement, stress, or a stomach disorder.
My female puggle gets hiccups, its just like as if & when we get hiccups, but not that loud! for example she will be sitting there & then start to get hiccups and since her mouth is closed her head goes back (kinda like when one sneezes) and her belly expands and you hear a slight hiccup, it will happen a few times in a row. She did it more frequent when she was a puppy and now it rarely happens.
How am I supposed to know I don't keep track of what color my hiccups!πΆππ
My hiccups are dehabilitating.
Yes, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, like many dog breeds, can experience hiccups. Hiccups in dogs are usually harmless and can occur due to excitement, eating too quickly, or changes in temperature. If hiccups are frequent or prolonged, it may be worth consulting a veterinarian to rule out any underlying issues.
Give your dog a belly rub above the navel, and below the ribcage. The belly hiccupping under your hand will feel strange but that's the onle safe way to do it. If the hiccups keep going for more than a day,you should probably call your vet. :)
When you laugh you breathe in a lot of air and that causes hiccups
Around 430 million hiccups.
