What they do is simple. They eat, drink, sleep, and play! (They go to the bathroom, too, of course!) They climb all over wood and fun play toys found in a local pet store. They love to dig, too, and can bury themselves. I recommend not disturbing the animal while underground, for they may be molting. That's when they shed their outer layer of "skin," known as the exoskeleton, which is actually the outer skeleton of the crab. Without toys, hermit crabs like to hide, or sleep. Providing a dark, hiding spot is important. They like to hide away in small areas to rest. Some hermit crabs spend all day picking at water droplets on the side of the aquarium tank, which you should have. The tank and hermit crabs must be misted with water at least once a day. Without 80% humidity, the crabs may dry out and die.
To keep a hermit crab you need to give them care and give them anything that you would want. Give them a cage and give them water in a bowl( flat so they can get out!! they can drowned) . also give them food they eat any thing for example: potato chips, corn chips, popcorn, and anything really. so there you have it!! oh1 and give them rocks they like to bury them selves in the rocks ( small pebbles!!)
when you get a hermit crab, you want to give it a house,or a Hermi Hut. The hermi muts are made up of half a coconut and usualy painted. you should be able to get one at a pet store.
they live by living.
hehe.
when in doubt the hide in their shells
some can but most live in very humid enviornments
You can buy hermit crabs at stores such as Petco. They have many hermit crabs things to meet your needs.
No, Hermit Crabs and Fiddler crabs require two different environments. The Hermit Crab would drown in the water a Fiddler Crab needs. You can always ask your local pet store if there is any way possible though. Some hermit crabs live on land others live in water even land hermit need two enter salt water , fiddler crabs are brackish or fresh hermit crabs can't breathe in those environments
I think that shrimp live with the hermit crabs.

hermit crabs need to live in 70-80 degree temprature
In captivity, they live 1-2 years.
well that's a very great question, and i will do my best to ansewer it. hermit crabs start to live out in the wild, at a beach is the best known place for a hermit crab to live.people take them to the pet stores for people to by them as pets.if you get a hermit crab its best to leave it by its self for a week or two, you've never known what its been through from the ocean to the pet store
