According to Finance Strategists, “A quarter refers to a three month period (i.e. one quarter of one year) on a company’s financial calendar, that establishes a period for financial reports and dividend payments.

Most financial reporting is done on a quarterly basis since this increment of time is a sweet spot, where data is less prone to the spikes and dips of smaller time frames, and investors receive timely updates on company performance.

Financial quarters are typically expressed as “Q”followed by the quartile number;

1.) The first quarter is Q1

2.) The second quarter is Q2

3.) The third quarter is Q3

4.)The fourth quarter is Q4

Making the four quarters of the year.

Quarters may also be represented along with their relevant year, as in Q1 2020 or Q1/20.

For most businesses, the fiscal year starts on January 1st and ends on December 31st; however, some businesses begin and end their fiscal year on different dates.”

Talking about Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics etc... the fiscal Year is divided by 4 for accounting control purpose.... From January to March it is the First Quarter = Q1..... from April to June it is the Second Quarter = Q2 .... from

July to September it is the Third Quarter+ Q3 and finally from October to

December it is the fourth quarter = Q4, and sometimes we have to calculate the

Mode, and the Median (if we would like to have an accurate result).

in order to predict what is going to happen in the Market.. we have to look for the

past behavior of Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q4 accordingly and considering that everything

else is constant.

Three charges q1 q2 and q3 are kept at the vertices of an equilateral triangle. The net force on q3 is F. Then what is the net force on q1?

The net force on q1 is F.

How do you calculate Q1 Q3 and IQR?

to calculate Q1 and Q3, you must first find Q2 - the median. count from wither end of the sample until you find the sole middle number, or find the average of the 2 middle numbers. then, complete the same process to the left of Q2 for Q1, and also on the right for Q3. the IQR is just Q3 - Q1.

Formula of quartile deviation?

Q3-q1

How do you calculate an interquartile range with an even number of scores?

If you have 2n scores, then Q1 = (2n+1)/4 Q3 = 3*Q1 In both cases, depending on your level, you take the nearest integer to Q1 and Q3, or you interpolate. If you do not know what interpolate means then you are probably not yet at the necessary level! and IQR = Q3 - Q1

Can the interquartile range be greater than the range?

No, since range is max-min and IQR is Q3-Q1. Q1 must be greater than the max and Q3 must be less than the min.
