Basically the bigger the clamp is the stronger your scooter will be, and the smaller it is the weaker your scooter will be. So you can tell how strong it is by how many screws it has in it. If you have a 1 screw that's very weak, if you have a 2 screw that's weak, if you have a 3 screw that's strong and if you have 4 screw that's very strong. But you can get custom ones as well. Like a 5 screw, a 6 screw, a 8 screw and a 52 screw that goes all the way up the bars.
you have to take off your bars an take out the bolts on the clamp then slide it on the bars refit the bars straighten them up then tighten the clamp.
A collet is used for clamping purposes. It forms a collar around an object, and clamps down on it as it is tightened. A 5C collet has external threads used for lathes.

These are called quick release clamps. There is a tool made by the lisle company # 37000 to remove them however, you can remove them with your fingers. Grasp the white plastic collar and squeeze as hard as you can while pushing the clamp in towards the filter. Then just as quickly pull back on the clamp and it will release. They can be a pain.
