How this work is it really depends on their record sales. They get paid for other things they do but really they aren't getting paid a whole lot. If they stop "working" then they won't get paid. They obviously don't get paid minimum wage but it takes time to get all that money. People say they make 10,000 a month. Not true if they don't have records out or singles they aren't getting paid.
