Anemometer.
The value of these attempts is hotly debated.
You use exactly the same instruments to measure speed in the metric system as you use in any other system. For example, a speedometer, or a distance measuring device and a stopwatch. The difference is that these devices are calibrated in metric units, instead of old-fashioned units.
anemometer to measure the wind speed
If you want to measure the speed of something, you first have to recall that speed is (distance traveled) divided by (time to travel the distance), and then you realize that you have to measure the distance it travels and the time it takes to travel that distance. If it happens to be the speed of light, then you immediately have a serious problem. The speed of light is so great that ... -- If you pick a distance that's easy to measure, then the time is impossibly short. For example, if you pick ten miles, then you have to accurately measure 0.00005368 of one second, which is pretty tough. -- If you pick a time that's easy to measure, then the distance is ridiculously long. For example, if you pick 0.1 second, then you have to accurately measure 18,628.2 miles, which is enormously tough. Both of these methods are theoretically and technically perfect, and completely impossible to actually use for the speed of light. You have to invent whole new clever ways to measure speed.
bobby orr slapshot speed
About 100 MPH. The invention of the slapshot is credited to Bernie Geoffrion of the Montreal Canadiens, hence the nickname ("Boom Boom"). Bobby Hull is credited with the hardest slapshot on record, clocked on one occasion at a speed of 118.3 mph, whereas the more typical NHL slapshot is around 100 mph. A former goaltender ... Gord

NHL Slapshot happened in 2010.
Slapshot - mascot - was created in 1995.
A slapshot in ice hockey is the fastest shot a player can make. During a hockey game, the speed of the puck can exceed 100 miles per hour. The current speed record belongs to the Boston Bruins' Zdeno Chara whose shot clocked a speed of 108.8 miles per hour.
To measure wind speed you use an anemometer. These are sometimes called wind meters. Meteorologists use anemometers to help predict weather.
no you use a stopwatch to measure elapsed time.
NHL Slapshot was created on 2010-09-07.
The first slapshot was in 1950's .It was made by "Boom Boom" Geoffrion.
Slapshot is a term used in the sport of ice hockey.
