according to my science class, its igneous rock. igneous rock is formed when magma/lava cools. if it cools slowly, it is conglomerate (coarse-grained or heavily grained..chunky.) if it cools fastly, it is fine grained (smooth.) i hope this helps!
In side it is called magma but when it flows out it is called lava
Liquid rock inside a volcano is called magma. Once it exits the volcano it's called lava.
ummm volcanic rock? but really its black rock and its all over near the hawaiian volcanoes! :)
Igneous rock is formed from magma.Magma goes out of the volcano, dries and creates igneous rock.
The molten rock that is found inside the earth is usually simply called magma. It becomes lava after it leaves the volcano at the surface of the earth.
Outside the volcano is rock. inside the volcano is rock, and, in an active volcano, magma (known is lava when it reaches the surface) hope this helps! poopmonkey love u
Rocks found by volcanoes are formed from lava and magma inside and outside the volcano. Rocks found along beaches are formed all kinds of different ways. It all depends on how the rock is formed

Igneous rock... There are extrusive (formed on the exterior of a volcano by lava) and intrusive (formed on the inside of a volcano by magma).
Igneous rocks are formed by heat, pressure and cooling. They can be formed inside a volcano or outside a volcano. If they are formed outside the volcano the rocks are called extrusive igneous rocks, like basalt. If it is formed inside the volcano the rocks are called intrusive igneous rocks, like granite.
A volcano rock is rock formed from ash or lava erupted from a volcano.

When you have a volcano the molten rock is called Magma when it is inside the volcano but when it gets out of the volcano it changes name to Lava.
