Odysseus was warned about the danger of the sirens' song leading sailors to their deaths. Odysseus wanted to hear the sirens' song but also wanted to ensure the safety of his crew.

∙ 13y agoCalypso took Odyssey in on her island, Ortygia and had him be her lover for seven years until Athena asked Zeus to free Odyssey. So Zeus sent Hermes to give Calypso the message and Calypso release Odyssey and helped him build his boat to leave Ortygia.
