Eponymous. Funk & Wagnall's Standard College Dictionary defines "eponym" as 1) A real or legendary personage from whom a nation, city, epoch, theory, etc., is reputed to derive its name; 2) An official, as in ancient Assyria, whose name was given to the year in which he held office. "Eponymous" is the relevant adjective.
