It will depend on what is causing the infection, but YES a common Prostatitus or infection can cause ED in males.

Most Prostate infections respond slowly but well to common antibiotics & if that is the cause of the ED it should reverse.

PLEASE see a UROLOGIST or your family DR & be VERY open about whats going on & let them check it out.

The easy & common test that EVERY male should start having at 40 or older is a PSA blood test, it can be a great and VERY easy way to help EARLY detection of prostate issues including infections and CANCER. it is a blood test & very cheap & easy to do.

In the worst case the ED & the infection could be a warning sign of prostate cancer, while not likely, it is possible, better to be cautious.

How long has it been since your prostate surgery? ED from prostate surgery can last up to a year after surgery. Talk to your surgeon to see if the nerves next to the prostate gland that control erection were damaged or cut, as this can lead to erectile dysfunction. Don't forget the mind is an amazing tool and people have been cured of "incurable conditions" by deciding that they don't have a condition and holding that thought in mind completely.

How to Cure Erectile Dysfunction Naturally?

West Coast Men’s Health is a treatment clinic that seeks to help men take charge of their sexual health and performance, especially those suffering from erectile dysfunction. Impotence is characterized by the inability to get or maintain an ED due to a lack of sufficient blood flow to the private parts. Erectile dysfunction, although common among men of all ages, often affects older men, 40 years and over. This, however, does not mean that any man should accept this condition as a prerequisite of old age.

What other conditions may erectile dysfunction indicate?

ED also may be the first indication of circulation problems due to diabetes, high blood pressure, or coronary artery disease.

Causes of Erectile Dysfunction?

One out of every ten men in the world has a problem when it comes to getting an erection. For men, it is a bit embarrassing and ego crashing to go through this problem. Unlike in the past, experts have come up with very many different ways of helping men cope with erectile dysfunction. You can visit a sex therapist that will help you uncover the probable reasons as to why you are experiencing the problem. Sometimes, erectile dysfunction can occur temporarily due to stress, physical and emotional trauma. It can also be permanent due to failure of blood vessels in the penis. Whether it is a temporary or permanent situation it can be fixed by a doctor. Before going to a doctor to get medicine to cure an erection problem, you need to consider the services of a sex therapist. The truth is that most of the cases of erectile dysfunction are more psychological and emotional than people actually care to admit. It does not matter whether you lose your erection before sex, during sex or you cannot get an erection at all. All these problems can be cured effectively using different methods of treatment. Firstly, evaluate the kind of relationship that you are in; are you happy and comfortable? If you are being forced into a relationship or you have no feelings whatsoever for your partner you may not erect during sex. Your life style can also be a major cause of erectile dysfunction. If you are always stressed, under pressure and anxious you need to stop taking life so seriously. Being sick can also lead to erectile dysfunction, diseases such as cancer and diabetes can lead to low sex drive. Having a new sex partner can also lead to erection failure due to anxiety. This is mostly common for men who are naturally not confident in themselves. Low self-esteem makes a man feel sexually inadequate, which translates into an erectile dysfunction. Aging also leads to erectile dysfunction; old men have low sex drive while young men can erect as a result of minor stimulus. As men grow old it takes longer for them to get aroused and erect.

Is a erection a problem with only one testicle?

Erectile Dysfunction / Impotence is a condition in which a man has difficulty getting an erection or sustaining it for sexual intercourse. This could either be due to an underlying physical problem or psychological problem or both. It depends on a wide range of factors ranging from overall health, diet, life style and stress levels. For instance, one can be affected by impotence if he is suffering from a chronic health condition, or if he is under long-term medication for some chronic illness. Alcohol and smoking too can cause impotence. For some, low testosterone levels can be the cause for Erectile Dysfunction. Prostate conditions like BPH / Prostatitis too can cause a form of impotence in middle-aged men. One could do a therapeutic prostate massage and take natural prostate supplements that contain a well-proportioned mix of the following: Zinc, Saw Palmetto Extract, Stinging Nettle Root Extract, Pygeum Africanum Bark Extract, Pumpkin Seed Oil and Lycopene. For some, Erectile Dysfunction might be due to poor blood circulation. A simple home remedy for this is Cayenne Pepper Powder that can be found in most grocery stores. Simply top-up your food with half a teaspoon of it (or as much as you can tolerate). One can also take Cayenne Pepper in capsule form.

What happens to my body when my prostate gland does not work properly?

When the prostate gland does not function properly, it can lead to various health issues and changes in the body. The prostate gland, which is a walnut-sized gland located just below the bladder and in front of the rectum, plays a crucial role in the male reproductive system. Here are some potential consequences of prostate gland dysfunction: Urinary Problems: The prostate gland surrounds the urethra, the tube that carries urine from the bladder out of the body. When the prostate becomes enlarged (a condition known as benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH), it can squeeze the urethra, leading to urinary problems such as increased frequency of urination, difficulty starting urination, weak urine stream, dribbling at the end of urination, and incomplete emptying of the bladder. Prostatitis: Inflammation of the prostate gland, known as prostatitis, can cause pain or discomfort in the pelvic area, lower back, or genital region. It may also lead to urinary symptoms, sexual dysfunction, and general discomfort. Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs): Prostate issues can increase the risk of urinary tract infections due to changes in the urinary system's function and the potential for bacterial growth in the urinary tract. Sexual Dysfunction: Problems with the prostate gland can also affect sexual function. Erectile Dysfunction Causes, Symptoms and Treatment Options?

Erectile dysfunction, also referred to as impotence, occurs when men are unable to obtain or keep an erection long enough for sexual encounters. While experiencing difficulty in obtaining and sustaining an erection from time to time is common among most men, erectile dysfunction is characterized as an ongoing sexual dysfunction. Along with the social implications, E.D. can cause serious strains on relationships and self-confidence.SymptomsThe primary symptoms of erectile dysfunction is characterized as the inability to maintain an erect penis long enough to perform sexual intercourse. Along with erection difficulty a reduction in sexual desire, or lack of libido, is common among men who suffer from this dysfunction.CausesSexual arousal in men is an intricate progression that involves hormones, blood vessels, muscles, emotions and nerve endings. Due to the multiple systems involved in sexual arousal, erectile dysfunction may be due to a variety of health and mental complications. Some of the more common physical ailments that contribute to E.D. include: high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, Parkinson's disease, atherosclerosis, tobacco use and abnormally low testosterone levels.Although medical ailments can play a direct role in the development of erectile dysfunction, psychological complications can cause symptoms of E.D. to worsen. Mental ailments such as stress, fatigue, depression and anxiety can trigger or worsen erectile dysfunction.DiagnosisDiagnosing erectile dysfunction may be done through several methods, such as standard physical examinations and blood tests. Physicians may also perform an ultrasound on the penis to ensure it is receiving ample blood flow to support an erection. If physical problems are ruled out by the physician, an overnight erection test may be performed. This test involves wrapping specialized tape around the circumference of the penis, and if a nocturnal erection occurs the tape is separated. If an erection is achieved while sleeping, the causes of E.D. are likely due to psychological issues and not physical complications.TreatmentTreating erectile dysfunction can vary depending on its cause. If the disorder is caused by an underlying health problem a physician will recommend treatments for the physical ailment. In conjunction with treatments for medical conditions, oral medications such as Viagra, Levitra or Cialis may be prescribed to enhance blood flow to the penis in order to obtain and sustain a firm erection. Psychological causes may be treated by undergoing therapy or taking anti-anxiety medications.Erectile dysfunction may also be treated through herbal supplements, such as yohimbe. According to the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, yohimbe has been used by African cultures to treat erectile dysfunction and increase sexual desire among men. Does cocaine use with men effect penis erections?

Yes, cocaine use can negatively impact sexual function in men, including affecting the ability to achieve and maintain an erection. Is magnet therapy suitable to prostate cancer?

All indications are that the prostate gland does not depend on magnetic fields to achieve or maintain cellular health. It's not too much of a stretch to therefore conclude that prostate cancer is not the result of a magnetic field deficiency. Nor would the prostate likely benefit from magnetic field application. Prostate cancer is more likely caused by chronic inflammation due to metabolic dysfunction, treatable by restoring normal metabolic function through reduced toxic exposure, better diet and lifestyle changes.
