Depends on the type of soap, how much you use, and how much water your pool has. Most hand soaps leave a heavy residue on the rim of the surface they dissolve. Try leaving your favourite bar of soap in a bathtub filled halfway with warm water. That's pretty much what happens, in a much lower scale, and at a significantly lower pace.

Now lets make it interesting. Say you have a round 15" above-ground pool, 5.5 feel deep, with 4,646 gallons of water inside it. And you decide that adding soap could turn it into a place to swim and cleanse at the same time. And you know that dial foam antibacterial liquid soap rinses clean and passes the bathtub test leaving no residue stuck behind. So you add the entire bottle (50 oz refill) to your pool (in the interest of cleanliness). And you live in West Los Angeles right now (this, to keep weather temperature in mind). What happens then?

Your pool will smell nice. It will also be a bit cloudy. And after your daily swim you will find the water to be "softer" (lower pH) and your skin will not be as dry as before. Nice, right? Now lets check the pool filtration system: no problems to report. For now. Its only been 2 days since I added the soap. I suspect with time the scent and cloudiness will lift. I also suspect that the filtration system, the filter in particular, will be coated with a clear slime-like substance, that will impair its ability to filter the water from the pool, and you will now have to either keep an eye on it and rinse it often, or pay up and replace it more often than before.

Either way rest assured and know you are not the only one who thinks... hum... I swim in this stuff every day... I wonder if my skin could benefit from this or that... Its your life, and your pool. Go on and do great things!

Assuming 15 FEET of diameter and 5.5 FEET of depth - 4646 gallons... huh.

Also "5.5 feel deep"  -  That's more feel than I want to swim in.

Unfortunately, you'll need to drain/replace the water. Next time, don't let the kids get into the dish soap. :(

How do you find a tiny hole in the top inflated ring of a intex above ground pool?

Get it wet, look for bubbles. If it's on the outside of the pool where soap wouldn't get in, put a little dish-soapy water on the area (you don't want to get soap in your pool!!!!), and look for a LOT of bubbles.

How do you get 25 people in the pool in virtual villagers 4?

I had trouble with this one. DO NOT use soap. For some reason, if you use soap it doesn't work. Make sure the pool is full (there is not too much debris downstream) and put 25 adults who are not children and are not nursing into the pool. If you want, add extra if you have them just in case. And presto! The award is yours.
