Because keyboards are relatively inexpensive the best solution is to simply replace the keyboard. If you want to try and save the keyboard, thoroughly rinse it in running water. (Perhaps a shower) Make sure you let the keyboard dry thoroughly before using it; two days on its own or fewer if you set it out in the sun or in front of a fan.

∙ 14y agoAn older keyboard (from the 1980s or 1990s) will probably be shorted out by liquid and be unusable. However; most keyboards made in more recent years are made to be resistant to liquid spills; let it dry out and it will probably be okay.

∙ 9y agoAs quickly as possible, blot the soda with absorbent towels. Unplug the keyboard and disassemble it if possible. Most modern keyboards are sealed in such a way to allow for gentle rinsing. Allow to air dry before replugging the keyboard.
