I'm new:)<3
You need to inspect his skin to see if he has lice, fleas, mites, or anything else that might be wrong.
No - if the hamster is going bald in the scratched areas, that sounds like a mite infestation. Take it to the vet.
He might have a rash. Take him to the vet or petstore. Search online
Try to find as many flees a possible and kill them and then go to your local vet to get some advice for an expert. That is what I did and my hamster is as heathly as can be.
no my hamster dose the same and so dose my friends
Because he/she keeps scratching it and irritating it a lot. you should see a vet so the can tread it and try to stop it from getting bigger
Stop using it.
It might mean that the hamster has mites, especially if it is scratching patches of fur off. It could also possibly be an allergic reaction, make sure your wood shavings and bedding are hamster specific - you should not use sawdust for example. You should take it to the vet if it continues.
your hamser may be pacing about its cage or scratching a lot
Fleas! Or an ear infection, if it's in the inner ear.
If you can tell what your hamster looks like when it is cleaning itself you will be able to tell if it has fleas because it will be scratching itself more than you have ever seen it do.
Avoid scratching them
give it food
Perhaps the hamster is asleep.
Probably at night.
Night, when they are both awake.
