You put the eggs carefully in a box in the corner of your parakeet's cage. Then you make sure the box is warm and put the eggs in the warm box and put the mother and father next to it, so they can fertilize it . After that you will have a baby parakeet in need of care.
Parakeets don't really get pregnant like we do. They lay eggs. If she is laying eggs or you think she is about to lay eggs, you can put a drop of canola oil in her water to help prevent her from death of egg binding, which happens if an egg gets stuck. If she is sitting on eggs then give her good food, a nest (wooden box for Australian budgies for example), and frequently at least twice a day give her filtered or bottled water in a dish. Leave the mate in there because he will feed her when she is in the nest. Also make sure it stays at least 70 degrees. You should consult a vet because there are things you buy from the vet such as a red light you may need for the babies when they hatch.
If and when your parakeet lays an egg, you should NOT remove it from the mother. If there is a male that mated with the female, then it's fertile; meaning it will be hatched as a baby parakeet if kept warm. Try NOT to touch it. If needed, LIGHTLY move the egg using a thick but VERY soft cloth. Be careful not to squeeze the egg. LIGHTLY move the egg and of course, DON'T DROP IT! Even if you have a soft landing...DO NOT DROP THE EGG NO MATTER WHAT! It won't be the end of the world though. Just saying, TRY NOT to drop it! If the egg is unfertile (it is not mated with a male), a parakeet will not be hatched from the unfertile egg. You should move the mother and eggs to a cardboard box with padding to keep warm (not too much). BUT IF YOU THINK YOU ARE GOING TO "ACCIDENTLY" DROP THE EGG OR HAVE ANY BAD LUCK WITH MOVING THE MOTHER AND EGGS, THAT IS NOT RECOMMENDED!!!
Separate Your Parakeet From Other Birds. If your parakeet is in a cage with other birds, you will want to separate them.
Check the Eggs. Carefully clean your hands, grab a pair of gloves, and check the eggs for any cracks.
Prepare a Nest Box. Whether the eggs are fertile or not, set up a nesting box.
Boost Nutrition.
Leave the Eggs for 3 Weeks.
Let the birds do their things.
get them a nesting box and let ur parakeet care for them.
She needs a nest and calcium bars...
There is no problem. The egg simply won't hatch. If there is no male parrot present, then the egg would not be fertilised anyway.
sometimes
It could be possible, but most of the time it's rare.
no. it is just like touching an egg
i dont know but it should be pretty soon
You have to buy a breeding box, when u get home take out your parakeet and place the breeding box inside with the egg. Leave the box open, and when parakeet sits inside close the box or its door. If this doesn't work, I'm sorry.
Parakeets lay fertile eggs when they are with the opposite gender (i.e male with female) and they have a warm, comfortable place to lay it such as a nest box.
A parakeet lays 3*3=9 in three days
no no no
