Every director has different methods of auditioning. Most will tell you to learn a certain piece of script, or prepare a song from a certain genre. You will then be given a time you will be auditioning, go into the audition room in front of the directors panel, and present what you have prepared. Some directors, however, will do a workshop audition. They consider this a lot less stressful for the auditionees and being a professional actress I have to agree. In most workshop auditions, they will do a certain amount of exercises and acting tasks and movement tasks and voice exercises with you. You will always be in a room with other auditionees and don't have to prepare anything. You just turn up and do what the board of directors tell you too. They will always be watching you to see your standard. Hope this helps- Good luck ! :)

Acting is very hard work and you need a whole lot of commitment and dedication but if you have a passion for it there's nothing better in the whole world.
