After defeating the final Bowser in Super Mario 64, you could go back and finish recovering all 120 stars and see Yoshi at the top of the castle who will grant you 100 lives and an improved triple jump that will cause no harm when falling from high places. Other than that you've beaten the game and you can replay your favorite stages (including the final Bowser level).
