Chimpanzees eat the same kind of food which they would in the wild. Chimps will eat fruit, some meat, fresh shoots an leaves and nuts. In peek nutting session chimps can eat up to 270 nuts per day. In a zoo the chimps are feed the same as they would in the wild, but it could be up to 20 items in one day's meal.
