Traditional confirmation attire for girls is a white dress in any type of fabric. It should have sleeves, be knee-length, and paired with closed-toed black or white shoes. Traditionally, boys should wear a suit and dress shoes.

If you are not the one being confirmed, as a guest, you should still dress as you would for a nice ceremony at a church. This means a suit, or at least nice suit jacket, if you are a man. Women typically wear a modest (not too short) skirt or dress; make sure your shoulders are covered. Both genders should avoid showing too much skin or being too casual.

As I'm typing I'm going to my friends confirmation too! Well if I describe what I'm wearing, I'm wearing a knee length dress with a cardigan on top. I would also wear tights to cover up your legs cos it's disrespectful to show your flesh at church... Also if your dress is low necked I would cover that too with a vest top... If you are a girl being confirmed, then a white dress with a white veil.

If you are attending a Confirmation, then normal what we used to call Church clothes, which were much more dressed up than you normally would wear. For men a long sleeved white shirt, a tie and jacket, for woman a dress, and a veil.

If you are the sponsor, the same as "attending a confirmation": modest, dressy clothes, NOT party clothes. Women should wear modest attire, dresses with sleeves and a modest hemline and neckline, and it is always a good idea, although no longer required, to cover your head. Men, long sleeved white shirt, tie, jacket.
