The 925 means it is 92.5% real silver (which is good!) and SJM is what is stamped in my ring as well. Many times a Jeweler will stamp their name inside the ring, often times abbreviating or using initials. My ring was purchased at a Samuels Jewelers, thus the SJM... perhaps yours was as well?
