CSS is used to style HTML (and other markup languages) pages. The browser looks at the rules declared in CSS and applies those rules to the relevant HTML elements that it finds in the web page it is rendering. These rules can affect what font typeface is used, what size the font should be, the color of the font, background colors, the alignment of text, placement of images, text, and other items on the web page, and more.
CSS or Cascading Style Sheets are a way to stylize HTML output in the web browser. They can be either part of your HTML file (inline) or linked to your HTML file (external).
Inline style sheets are contained within the HTML <style></style> tags but otherwise the syntax for CSS remains the same whether it is inline or external
A CSS style contains two basic parts, a selector and a set of rules
A selector can be either an HTML element (i.e. span), a class placed on an element ( .className), or an ID placed on an element ( #idName)
a set of rules can be anywhere from 1 rule to hundreds and they all follow the same format:
rule-name: value;
a complete css style would look like this
selector{
rule-name: value;
}
(C)ascading (S)tyle (S)eets are the proper way to style a web page. You can use HTML to add color, positioning, and other things but it is not standard and probably won't validate that way. HTML is intended to be used to display content only. CSS is then used to arrange the elements, apply colors, and even add animation (thanks to CSS 3).
CSS is used to design the look and feel of the web page. You can set the color, size, background, font etc using CSS
Main feature is that CSS allows you to control the presentation of your entire web site with ONE CSS file.
CSS is a simpler, easier to manage way of laying out a web-page. It also allows a whole page's layout to be changed in a few code tweaks instead of changing every HTML tag.
The application of CSS as the name suggests is styling. It styles the page according to the user demands.
Answer 1: You're question must not be related to Cascading Stle Sheets as I have never seen a warning label on a CSS file. :P Answer 2: Your browser does not support CSS, or supports only limited functions of CSS or you have it switched off in your browser. Rely: There probably isn't that many browsers being used today that do not support CSS. Only some parts of the CSS is not supported in IE 6/7. Rest are either compliant or non-compliant:
Valid CSS is CSS that has been run through the W3C CSS checker and passed.

The latest version of css is css3
All CSS is custom, that is the purpose behind CSS. It allows you to control the presentation of your web pages and separate the rules that govern presentation from the content and markup. You control what rules you develop and set the rules for. CSS stands for cascading style sheets.

Because there is no CSS 1.5 and CSS is not down loadable. CSS2.1 and partly supported CSS 3.0 are what you need to learn. Any downloads would be a tutorial of CSS in a PDF/ZIP or some format. See... CSS Tutorials might help you.
Inline CSS is one of the ways to apply CSS. It is the styling which is done with the individual element.
There is no such physical thing as "Advanced" CSS, nor advanced css layouts. CSS can get difficult, and certain areas can be deemed for the "Advanced" coders, but all-in-all, there is no such thing as an Advanced CSS Layout.
